THE MISSION

PURPOSE-DRIVEN COMPANY

The project was born out of the observation that adolescents and young adults who are temporarily or permanently incapacitated by illness or accident are isolated.

Because I come from the fashion world and have seen the power it has over self-confidence and our social interactions, aequidem creates and distributes practical and stylish clothing that will have multiple effects, including:

  • restoring self-esteem and self-confidence
  • changing perceptions of illness
  • making the fashion industry more inclusive.

From its inception, aequidem adopted the status of a "mission-driven company," as established by the PACTE Law of May 22, 2019.

This status allows aequidem to involve stakeholders in its actions to help it achieve its objectives. A mission-driven company is an organization that is concretely and intrinsically committed to taking its environment into account and focusing on its social and environmental impact.

OUR PURPOSE

"Convinced that clothing is a factor for well-being, we create collections and experiences that promote the inclusion of people affected by illness or accident, by engaging fashion and healthcare professionals alongside us."

OUR MISSION

Sensitive to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 agenda, we have used some of them as levers to demonstrate our impact, to provide a framework for ensuring a more sustainable future, and to achieve our mission.

Our primary mission is to promote the well-being and self-esteem of the greatest number of hospitalized individuals.

OUR OBJECTIVES

aequidem's mission is to pursue the following social and environmental objectives in line with the UN 2030 Agenda SDGs:

  1. Promote the well-being and self-esteem of as many people as possible affected by illness or accident (#SDG3)
  2. Involve fashion industry players in the fight against social distancing for these people
  3. Support social and professional integration (#SDG8)
  4. Minimize the company's environmental footprint (#SDG12)

To achieve this, we want to mobilize the fashion industry alongside us, raise their awareness, and make them agents of change.

SDG #3 - Empower individuals to live healthy lives and promote well-being at all ages.

SDG #8 - Review and reorganize our economic and social policies aimed at completely eradicating poverty.

SDG #12 - Sustainable Consumption and Production aims to "do more and better with less": use resources efficiently, reduce global food and other waste, and safely dispose of toxic waste and other pollutants.
